Kirie Eleison - John Rutter

Kirie Eleison

I've always loved loved loved Choral Music. The lecture this morning had me thinking of this song, which has been sitting my library for a while now. John Rutter is one of my favourite composers. I've had the pleasure of singing many of his works back in high school. Some of these include A Candlelight Carol (awesome!), A Clare Benediction, For the Beauty of the Earth. Oh how I wish I could be part of a choir again. Solos are fun, but there is nothing that touches your soul more than multiple voices joining together in multiple harmonies.... ahhh.... my heart aches just thinking about it! I would trade 10 solos with one piece of music sung with a choir in perfect harmony ;o)

What once was hurt
What once was friction
What left a mark
No longer stings
Because Grace makes beauty
Out of ugly things
