And round and round we go

A friend of mine sent me a link to a song today called Remember Me, by Mark Schultz. Listening to the song really made me remember once again of the LORD and how much I once felt for him. Recently I find myself in a new relationship and therefore experiencing all the wonderful feelings one feels when in love. And in all of this I feel God's providence and him gently encouraging me to move forward in getting to know another person on a deeper. With the love of God in my heart, I am treading the challenging and self-humbling territory of sharing my life with another person. I feel like a grown up child, learning to accept someone and love someone for who God made them to be.

However, when I heard this song I was reminded of a different kind of love, and a different kind of longing that I have in my heart for my God. And it is a love that is absolutely incomparable. In God's arms I am weak but not fearful, I am naive like a child but protected from the evil of the world. God's love is a love that is deep, and new every time it is experienced. It is a love that never ceases to excite me, and never ceases to surprise me. In listening to this song, I know that he is reminding me that he is still there, and he loves me, and waits for me to find my everything in him.

As for the title of the blog. I am always grateful to be around brothers and sisters in Christ, those who have known Christ longer than us, those who have not. We are there to remind each other of God's love for us, and always there to inspire each other and to support each other in our journeys of faith. For the friend who sent me the link to this song, I suppose he would not know that one little song could touch me so deeply and stir up the love that I have for Christ once again, which had been falling a little stale as of late. So round and round we go, God's angels to each other whether we realize it or don't.

Remember Me

Remember me
In a Bible cracked and faded by the years
Remember me
In a santuary filled with silent prayers

And age to age
And heart to heart
Bound by grace and peace
Child of wonder, Child of God
I'll remember you
Remember Me

Remember me
When the color of the sunset fills the sky
Remember me
When you pray and the tears of joy
fall from your eyes

Remember me
When the children leave
their Sunday school with smiles
Remember me
When they're old enough to teach
Old enough to preach
Old enough to leave

Age to age and heart to heart
Child of wonder child of God

Remember me

Age to age and heart to heart
Child of wonder child of God

What once was hurt
What once was friction
What left a mark
No longer stings
Because Grace makes beauty
Out of ugly things
