The Grace of God is sufficient

As I sit here and type right now, I think back to the last 6 months leading up to the day of my sister Wendy and her now husband's wedding. I had been praying about the wedding for a long, long time. Being the only one in the family in Vancouver, I took on the task of planning the big event for my lovely sister and her fiancee, who live in New Jersey. Needless to say, it would have been extremely difficult for them to plan the wedding from the East Coast. Luckily, I am back in school and enjoy the luxury of not working the 9-5 schedule each day. Therefore, I had plenty of flexibility to tackle the big project.

This morning, I dropped off some out of town friends who flew into town for the wedding at the airport. They were the last few. I came home and went back to bed, and woke up at 2pm, feeling a little downhearted. The wedding was over, back to real life now. I suppose it's normal to feel that way after such a big event.

I have been neglecting my blog for a while now, partly because I had gotten busy with the wedding, and partly because my enthusiasm for this blog (or is it that fiery passion for God that a new-born Christian experiences) has faded a little. Nevertheless, I cherish this blog. And even more so, I (including my entire family) have truly experienced the grace of God during the weeks leading up the wedding on more than one occasion. We had been praying feverishly before the wedding, my sisters and I, as well as some close friends at church. I had also requested that others include this wedding in their prayers. And the faithfulness of God really shone through, as he walked with us every step of the way to make the wedding a complete success (for a lack of better words!). In the next few nights I will attempt to share with you how it is that I know that God has responded to our prayers. Bear with me, and you may be just as amazed as we all were... ;o)

"How much faith do you have in the power of the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ?"
