Thank God for the great weather at Peace Arch today. It was a little cold in the morning. But after lunch, the clouds started clearing up more and the air warmed up. I took a walk to the beach with Sally and some C&C guys. We took this photo by setting the camera on a log ;) Not bad eh?
I enjoyed hanging out with these fellow brothers and sister very much. They are all quite young still - early to mid 20s (and one in his teens still!). I could feel the innocence in their spirits. How refreshing it was! Our conversations light, and there was little trace of cynacism or anything else impure. And though we have our dark moments, I found myself thinking, "What great kids, what great guys!" They are like blank pieces of paper, waiting to be written on by God (that is my hope).
I think back to my rebellious past and the zig zag-itty road I've traveled on back to God, and I wish for these younger brothers and sisters to not do what I did. I pray that they can truly know God and follow God, starting now, to save themselves some trouble. How blessed we are to have the priviledge to be chosen by God to know him! He wants the best for us - he protects us by instructing us to follow his laws - so we dont' stray and find ourselves bondaged to our sins. The world, with all its expectations on young people to achieve (to get the job, get the car, get the girl) may soon grip hold of their hearts and push God away. I pray that this will not be so. I pray for the Spirit to do his work inside our hearts, especially for those at C&C, so that they can start their amazing journies with God & experience Him and his blessings starting today.
