God is Good

I spent the day with Joyce and the twins. We had planned to visit the office so that everybody could meet Andrew and Nathan (Drew and Nate). I got to the Huangs' at around 10:30 as Joyce was finishing up their nth feeding. Then it took about an hour for us to get them wiped, changed, and into their car seats so they were ready to go (Joyce did most of the work, I just helped play with them!). We ended up staying in the office for 3 hours! I guess when you've got twins, everything takes twice as long :o) It was good to see everybody. Walking around the office felt eerily familiar. Of course, I worked there for 3 years. But honestly I haven't really missed it much. Although the familiarity of the people did make me reminisce a bit, but not enough for me to want to go back to work right away!

Andrew and Nathan are great. Aside from being super cute, they are also quite well behaved. After we finally got back to the house, Joyce made me a delicious turkey sandwich. Just as I started to eat baby Andrew started to cry. I went to pick him up and he quiet down. So I just ate my lunch with him in my left arm, and he was pretty good most of the time. After lunch I took Andrew upstairs to his crib as he had fallen asleep in my arms. But lo and behold, as soon as I put him down he started to fuss again. So I coo-ed him in my arms in the rocking chair by the crib for a while. And I looked down at this little tiny being in my arms, I thought "Wow, God is so good to us". He gave to us this perfect little being and I was actually holding his loving creation in my arms. I was so lucky to be able to do that, and to be in these little boys' lives, I feel so fortunate! Not only that, God is also so good to the babies, because as young and oblivious as they are they are already loved by so many. God really takes care of us :o)

There were moments when I was looking at the babies that I thought about what it must've been like for my mom when I was a baby. How much she must've treasured and loved us (and still does). It was odd but I felt that love inside of me. It felt as if the love she had for me as an infant was like a breath of air that was blown into my heart and has never left me. I was so touched I felt my eyes water. I can't wait to be a mother someday~
