Only God Inspires!

This is not my first attempt in keeping a blog. I've tried maybe 2 or 3 times before, but had always lost motivation after just a few days. This time around, I can't really remember what prompted me to start a blog. I think I wanted to keep a record of my life with God, of our relationship together. Everyday I have a million thoughts about him and I wanted to share some of these thoughts with others. It's amazing, I haven't missed a day since I started. Granted it's only been a mere 10 or so days. Still, I've gotten further than I ever had before :o)

At the Stream of Praise workshop the other day one of the members (I think her name was Tiffany) said that God has given us each different names. Not just the names our parents gave us, but names that define who we are and what we are to do in this life. "If you know your name already", she said, "Pray that God will help you become what he made you to be and do what he made you to do in this life". At the time I couldn't think of anything. But last night I was praying to God. He has opened up opportunities to serve him more in the Church through C&C in additional to the work that I've been doing at 12:30. I am pretty excited, but also scared to death at the same time. Scared because I am afraid that my old personality, the controlling, impatient, and do it MY way (instead of God's way) will come back and take over. I've been praying to God for humbleness and for him to take away my pride. I kept repeating to God "make me your humble servant, humble servant......" And Ding! Yes, I want to be his 'melodious humble servant'. Melodious because I love music, and I hope to use my voice to inspire and bring people closer to God. So now I know my name! And I will keep praying for God to remind me let him lead the way in all situations, and try not to stubbornly do things my way way.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean no on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. - Proverbs 3:5-6

What once was hurt
What once was friction
What left a mark
No longer stings
Because Grace makes beauty
Out of ugly things
