I woke up to snow this morning, pure, white, lovely - another one of God's miracles, of him showing us his love for us. Funny, snow was only snow to me before. But now I stare at the perfect layers of snowflakes lining the bare branches that reach out in free and (but!) perfect formation, and I'm amazed (in awe of!) by the intricate and magnificent beauty found right outside my bedroom window. Again I'm reminded of how we never have to look very far to find God, and reasons that can make our hearts sing with his joy!

Admittedly, I was having a rough time today. My mind boggled, my heart troubled. I felt like my heart had ballooned up with an air of annoyance and confusion. I tried to pray, I tried reading scripture, but I was not finding relief. What was I going to do? I was leading music at C&C for the first time and I definitely didn't feel "filled" with the Spirit to lead with a heart in the condition that I wanted it to be in. I cried to the LORD to "Save me!".
But the love of God is so extraordinary, and surprising, and tends to find us in the least expected ways. I was going to fellowship with a heavy heart, my mind not in the "right" framework, or so I thought. Yet, the night was great! As soon as I opened up my mouth to worship the LORD my God, I had forgotten my troubles. And through the fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ, I experienced God's eternal and undying love. When I say eternal and undying, I mean God's love lasts! God's love is not a feeling, it's concrete, it's there! It wraps itself around you, surrounds you, it follows you home, it goes everywhere with you. It doesn't fade when all have parted ways, because its real. That's the love that I received tonight, the love of Christ, through the ones he had called to be with me tonight. How full, how great, how I needed it to strengthen and heal and grow in faith :o) Thank you LORD... My heart is full :o)

Also found out that there are some frequent readers of my blog tonight. I think it's important to pray that I may not let the blog become centered around those who read, but for the blog to be a place where I can share with others my love for the Father and my daily interactions and reflections with and of our relationship. So friends may we pray together~
