Lalala - random jet lagged thoughts

These nights spent jet lagged are killing me. Well, not literally. But it is in the wee hours of the night (or morning, rather), when you are left alone with your thoughts and there is nothing else you can do to distract yourself from facing your darkest and deepest emotions - now that's scary. Maybe I am the sensitive kind, and I've always been a little on the anxious side. Like my father, my nerves are thin (think in Mandarin). Sometimes I'm not sure if I want that. But alas, it's the way God made me...

In my efforts to distract myself, I watched a movie on my ever trusted lappy right in the comfort of my bed, sans the company of Jesse. I got a little agitated when during his premier nightly spa, during which I lay him on my bed on top of a white linen towel and give him his daily brush, he got mad at him. As if! hehehe... So out he goes for the night ;oP (I'm going to be an excellent mother!). During one scene in the movie one of the characters asks the other "So what keeps you together?". That line really struck me. In times when I'm feeling distressed, what does keep me together? Now you all know the cliche answer would be "God". Of course, what else would it be? But it was, something that struck me. It was as if, or no, it was God himself, who spoke, and reminded me that he would keep me together, he would keep me safe through life's storms (and cloudy days!).

My thoughts have been kept slightly occupied as of late by something surprising. It's something that I'm struggling with, of whether or not what I feel is actually real, or masked by some sort of deep fascination and impression. But I can honestly say that my heart has never really been touched the way it has been, it comes as a close second to God himself. Music is the way to my soul.
