On days when I work at Kilei, I would often have a lot of time to think about things. Most times, I spend my days thinking about my life, God, and everything in between. And in the two narrow isles filled with fancy and frilly Japanese imports, sometimes I actually start to make some sense of the messiness of life through God's eyes. I keep wanting to write, to blog about it, but busyness (truthfully more like laziness) gets to me and I run out of time. It's been a crazy month and I long for the nights when I could just sit down and write and write about the million thoughts I have in my head. Soon I shall be back on track, I hope... But tonight, I wanted to share a few quotes from Anne Lamott's book, which I finished off today, with you...
"Courage is fear that has said its prayers". & "God isn't there to take away our suffering or our pain but to fill it with his or her presence".
One other phrase that has been ringing in my head lately - "In love there is no fear".
Aren't those just completely life altering?!
