They always say, "It's the little things that count." When we pray to God, we often expect things to change right away. But do we ever think that God's blessings (I am more reminding myself of this!) are all around us, all the time.
Today, I experienced God in the most intimate way, I would say, since I have become a Christian. There were no fireworks, or visions, no angels, no loud voice from the sky. Yet, it was through little things that happened - things that I'm convinced are not 'just coincidences', that brought me to the conclusion that God really is amazing! I feel like I'm this much closer to Him and I've gotten to know his wondrous ways just a little better. God is very creative. He will work through many events, use many people and situations, to comfort, encourage, and reward (for being faithful in the little things). Mostly though, I am so grateful because God is soooooo good to me despite the fact that I sooo do not deserve it, that I am a huge honking sinner.
Having experienced God undoubtedly through a turn of events, I came home from my stroll through the neighbourhood, filled with peace and joy - like never before. I felt that I didn't have to be afraid, that God was with me and things are going to be OK with him leading me. I felt free. I wanted to give my all and my life to Christ (again!) and professed it again in my heart to him. Yes, I felt that I was (literally) walking in God's path of Grace. I almost started to skip (but if Joy was with me I probably would have, hehe). The more obedient and the more I turn my life to God, the more I experience Him. Thank you for being so faithful God!
