Re-discovered

Last night, I re-watched 'The Motorcycle Diaries' with a few friends who hadn't seen the movie before. For those who haven't seen this film before, it is about the young Che (Ernesto) Guevara's journey through South America with is good friend Gustavo. The pair set about the trip to discover the continent of Latin America in which they grew up in (Argentina) but never truly knew. In their travels they discover the immense injustice that exists in this continent against indigenous people. This trip then, essentially changed Ernesto's life. He later became a revolutionary, working alongside Fidel Castro. Che was assassinated in the jungles of Boliva in 1967.

I had forgotten how much I love the music from the movie. In fact, I remember the soundtrack was a staple in my car's CD collection. Yet when I tried to look for it last night, I couldn't find it anywhere. I love it when I come across music that I used to love and for one reason or another have forgotten about it. It is the same, dear old haunting melody, re-discovered like a piece of long lost treasure :)

What once was hurt
What once was friction
What left a mark
No longer stings
Because Grace makes beauty
Out of ugly things
